Covid-19 Cases per Institution: 3.13; Increase for Fifth Consecutive Week, over 10,000 Nationwide (Kyodo News)

On the 25th, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare announced that the number of new cases of COVID-19 reported from about 3,000 designated medical institutions nationwide in the week from the 14th to the 20th was 12,069. This is the first time that the number has exceeded 10,000 since the number of designated medical institutions was changed from about 5,000 to about 3,000 in April.
