Viktor Orbán wanted to bring the first-ever competition to Hungary, but it came at a price. The contract we received also reveals exactly how much it cost: the previous government spent nearly five billion forints of public money to bring the world's best athletes to Budapest. On top of that, there was the cost of organizing it, which the new government was able to save a lot on by replacing the Balásy companies.
It is not yet known how much revenue the first-ever World Finals brought to Hungary.
