A young Frenchman caught hedgehogs and kept them in cages for the hype on TikTok. In four years, he caught more than 250 animals.

A 24-year-old man was tried on April 2 in Libourne (Gironde) for capturing 269 hedgehogs between 2020 and 2024. His goal: to "create a buzz" on social media, according to Ici Gironde.
