Golden Globes introduce Golden Eve ceremony to separately honor lifetime achievement winners Helen Mirren and Sarah Jessica Parker, expanding the event under new ownership.
- The Golden Globes announced a new separate ceremony on January 6, naming the second awards show Golden Eve: The Golden Globes Honor Helen Mirren & Sarah Jessica Parker.
- To spotlight the honorary recipients, the Golden Eve special honors Sarah Jessica Parker, recipient of the Carol Burnett Award, and Helen Mirren, recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award.
- The special airs Thursday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and streams on Paramount+; it features the Carol Burnett Award created in 2019 and the Cecil B. DeMille Award since 1952 with 69 honorees.
- Multi-Emmy-Winning producers Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner will executive-produce, while Harrison Ford will present Mirren with her Cecil B. DeMille Award and appearances include Viola Davis, Ted Danson, Colman Domingo, Kristin Davis, Vin Diesel, Tessa Thompson, and Carol Burnett.
- The new show arrives amid franchising by Dick Clark Productions, owned by Penske, which dissolved the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and offers paid studio experiences with Globes voters; organizers are creating more branded 'eves'.
