- Several senior politicians, including three ministers this month, have resigned amid the investigation, while former agriculture minister Costas Tsiaras defended the practice as a core parliamentary duty to "take an interest in the citizen."
- Mitsotakis weighed in on Sunday, stating on Facebook that the EPPO must "prove its objectivity" while vowing to imprison the "thieves" responsible and reclaim the funds.
- With elections scheduled for 2027, the New Democracy party currently leads in opinion polls but is not expected to secure an absolute majority despite the scandal.
