Pro-Russian oligarch Vladimir Plahotniuc was brought to Chisinau in handcuffs, six years after fleeing Moldova and three days before crucial parliamentary elections for the country's future. The former deputy speaker of parliament has four arrest warrants against him and is accused of being behind the theft of the century - the disappearance of a billion dollars from the country's banking system in 2014.
