Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and President Sergio Mattarella arrived in Padua to attend the state funeral of the three Carabinieri officers killed in the explosion that occurred during an evacuation in Castel D'Azzano, in the province of Verona. The coffins of Lieutenant Marco Piffari, Marshal Valerio Daprà, and Corporal Davide Bernardello left the Padua Carabinieri provincial headquarters at 3:30 PM, where the funeral chapel had been set up.
