LOS ANGELES, JUL 15 – Severance leads with 27 nominations while HBO and Max top platforms, as records for youngest and oldest acting nominees are set for the 2025 Emmy Awards.
- On July 15, 2025, the Television Academy announced nominations for the 77th Emmy Awards, with Severance leading all shows with 27 nods.
- On CBS Mornings, the Television Academy said nominees in the reality competition and talk series categories would be revealed shortly before 8 a.m. ET/5 a.m. PT, and later they were unveiled by Harvey Guillén and Brenda Song in a live virtual event.
- Among platforms, HBO and Max scored the most nominations, and The Penguin followed with 24 while The Studio and The White Lotus each garnered 23.
- Among acting nominees, Kathy Bates became the oldest drama actress nominee at 77, while 15-year-old Owen Cooper set a record as the youngest supporting actor nominee in a limited series.
- The main ceremony is set for Sunday, Sept. 14, airing live on CBS from the Peacock Theater, with most categories presented at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Sept. 6 and 7.
