Eddie Howe asked if he will stay at Newcastle and explains Tonali withdrawal
Howe said he has not decided on his future and will meet club hierarchy next week after Newcastle finished the season with a 2-0 defeat.
On Sunday, Fulham defeated Newcastle United 2-0 at Craven Cottage, capping the Premier League season for both clubs in west London.
Both clubs ended their campaigns in frustration, as neither side qualified for European football; Fulham finished 11th, one point shy of the Conference League, while Newcastle finished 12th.
Tom Cairney added a second with a 25-yard wondergoal after Issa Diop opened the scoring in the first half, but Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe saw his side remain disjointed despite reverting to a four-man defence.
Linked to a move to Benfica, Fulham manager Marco Silva promised a decision next week after missing the "cherry on the cake" of European competition, while Howe vowed to stay, citing "100% unity" behind the scenes.
Howe is determined to improve the squad following the team's lowest finish as Newcastle faces a critical summer transfer window opening June 15, with Fulham entering the summer break needing significant reflection.
