ED files chargesheet against Robert Vadra in Shikohpur land deal case, properties worth ₹37 Crore attached
GURUGRAM, HARYANA, INDIA, JUL 17 – The Enforcement Directorate alleges money laundering and false declarations in the ₹7.5 crore Gurugram land deal and has attached 43 properties worth ₹37.6 crore linked to Robert Vadra.
- On July 17, 2025, the Enforcement Directorate filed a chargesheet in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court, linking Vadra to a money laundering case over the Shikohpur land deal.
- According to the ED’s chargesheet, the investigation stems from an FIR filed on September 1, 2018, by Gurugram Police, which led to probing a February 12, 2008 land purchase alleged to involve false declarations.
- On July 16, 2025, ED attached 43 properties worth Rs 37.64 crore and questioned Vadra for nearly five hours at its central Delhi office.
- Among the accused, 11 individuals/entities including Sky Light Hospitality Pvt Ltd, Satyanand Yajee and Kewal Singh Virk, marking the first prosecution complaint against Vadra in a criminal case.
- The court will take up the matter on Friday, highlighting its potential to set a broader precedent in probes involving politically exposed persons.
