- A Migration Policy Institute report released Thursday shows the Trump administration completed about 660,000 deportations in fiscal year 2026, falling short of the President's one-million-a-year goal.
- Interior deportations have surged to about 19,000 monthly, though 69% of removals still involve border encounters, according to Department of Homeland Security data analyzed in the report.

- The administration carried out 980,000 deportations in its first 18 months, which remains well below the 1.86 million removals recorded in 2000 under President Bill Clinton.
