Delhi Police denies permission for Diljit Dosanjh’s October 30 concert at JLN Stadium
Police cited threat-related inputs and festive-season law-and-order concerns in denying security clearance for the RuPay Aura India Tour concert.
Delhi Police denied security clearance for actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh's October 30 concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, citing security concerns; the decision was communicated to ticketing platform BookMyShow.
Authorities cited threat-related inputs and festive-season law and order commitments as primary reasons for denial, with the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Delhi, addressing the matter.
Ahead of the show, Diljit warned fans against volunteer scams, urging followers not to share personal information with social media pages claiming to recruit help for the concert.
While the Delhi concert was originally set for November 1, the police decision leaves ticket holders uncertain as officials have not confirmed whether the event is formally cancelled or rescheduled.
The RuPay Aura India Tour covers seven cities over six weeks, with upcoming performances in Indore, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Lucknow following the successful international Dil-Luminati Tour, which generated ₹943 crore in revenue.
