- On July 13, a 36-year-old man was electrocuted in Dwarka, an official said, and he was declared lifeless at Janakpuri hospital after a PCR call from Mata Rooprani Maggo Hospital in Uttam Nagar.
- Investigators revisited the case after chat evidence emerged this past week, leading to a homicide reclassification and suspect confessions.
- According to preliminary findings, Sushmita Dev laced his meal with 15 sleeping pills on July 12, 2025, and `when the sedatives didn’t act, they allegedly administered an electrical shock through his finger while he was semi-conscious,` NDTV reported.
- Authorities detained the accused couple and seized further evidence, citing confessions, and `both the accused have confessed during questioning,` NDTV reported.
- Looking ahead, Kunal Dev remains in judicial custody, and formal charges are expected soon as he cooperates with police and may become a key witness.
