Popovici Wins 100m Freestyle World Gold for Sprint Double

SINGAPORE, JUL 31 – David Popovici set a championship record of 46.51 seconds to win gold in the 100m freestyle, securing his second world title at the Singapore championships.

David Popovici said he was looking forward to "a great big holiday on the beach" after completing a sprint double at swimming's world championships in Singapore on Thursday.
