- Starting August 15, 2025, Dangote Petroleum Refinery will roll out nationwide supply of premium gasoline and diesel fuel to various distributors, including fuel sellers, industrial clients, telecom companies, the aviation sector, and other major consumers, offering complimentary logistics support to strengthen the delivery network.
- This initiative follows a registration process from June 16 to August 15 and aims to eliminate logistics costs while supporting Nigeria’s Renewed Hope Agenda for economic progress and inclusive development.
- Dangote Refinery acquired 4,000 new tankers fueled by compressed natural gas and is also investing in related CNG fueling stations to facilitate efficient fuel delivery and enhance access, particularly in rural and hard-to-reach areas.
- The refinery offers a credit facility allowing purchases of 500,000 liters plus an additional 500,000 liters on two-week bank-guaranteed credit to support key sectors and foster economic growth through reduced fuel costs.
- PETROAN expressed concerns that Dangote's direct distribution could lead to disguised monopoly and job losses, urging regulatory bodies to implement price controls to maintain competition and protect stakeholders.
