- The Dale Fire began around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the area around the intersection of Highway 371 and Lugo Road in Aguanga, quickly spreading across Riverside County.
- The fire occurred amid mid-80s temperatures and winds gusting up to 10 mph, while its cause remains under investigation and unknown at the time.
- Two brush fires erupted less than a mile apart, burning over 330 acres, destroying multiple structures, and prompting evacuation orders and warnings for nearby communities.
- Cal Fire assigned 216 firefighters along with 37 fire engines, four bulldozers, four water-carrying trucks, and a pair of helicopters to fight the fire, which remained uncontained at 6 p.m.
- The fires forced highway closures near the Cahuilla Indian Reservation and led authorities to open animal and resident care centers to support evacuees.
