BENGALURU, KARNATAKA, JULY 30 – Shama Parveen coordinated online radicalisation and terror activities for AQIS, linked to a network planning attacks across India, Gujarat ATS said.
- Gujarat ATS and Karnataka police arrested an accused in Bengaluru for suspected links to an AQIS terror module during a joint operation.
- Leads from four suspects linked to Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent arrested earlier this month prompted the Gujarat ATS to arrest Shama Parveen in Bengaluru.
- She was produced before a court and taken to Gujarat, authorities said she operated social media accounts related to radicalisation.
- Following her detention, authorities said Pakistani contacts were recovered from her electronic devices, prompting Bengaluru’s Internal Security Division and Central Crime Branch to launch a probe.
