CoreWeave's expanded deal supports OpenAI's rapid AI datacenter growth with a total $22.5 billion contract covering multiple expansions this year, CEO Michael Intrator said.
- CoreWeave announced on Thursday a $6.5 billion expansion with OpenAI, marking the third major partnership growth this year and raising total deals to $22.4 billion.
- OpenAI's Stargate initiative aims to secure 10 gigawatts of capacity, opening three new sites with Oracle and two data centers with SoftBank toward nearly 7 gigawatts planned.
- CoreWeave previously agreed an $11.9 billion March initial pact and a $4 billion May extension, then this month purchased Nvidia hardware and signed a $6.3 billion supply order with Nvidia.
