A month ago in power, the president arrived at the Presidency with the promise to fight guerrillas and other armed groups that control large areas of Colombian territory.
In the campaign he gave speeches in favor of the carrying of arms in a country marked by more than six decades of an armed conflict that leaves more than ten million victims, including at least one million murdered.
