College women’s track and field: MPC’s White lands at Cal Poly Humbolt

Massive improvement this past spring in four events, including a school record in the hammer throw has landed Monterey Peninsula College’s Laura White a track and field scholarship to Cal Poly Humboldt. White, who was seventh in the state for the Lobos in the shot put, improved nearly 10 feet in the event after arriving from Hollister High, uncorking it 39-feet, 4 1/2 inches.
