Clothing giant MANGO discloses data breach exposing customer info
MANGO confirmed exposure of limited customer data from a vendor breach affecting marketing information, with no sensitive financial or identity data compromised, officials said.
- On October 14, 2025, MANGO sent data breach notifications to customers, saying `MANGO wishes to inform you that one of the external marketing services has suffered unauthorized access to certain customers' personal data.`
- Through a third-party marketing provider, MANGO said unauthorised access occurred at the external marketing services provider in Spain, but attackers remain unknown as no extortion postings have appeared.
- MANGO specified that exposed data was limited to first name, country, postal code, email address and telephone number, while surnames, banking information, credit card details, ID/passport numbers and access credentials were not compromised.
- Authorities were alerted and MANGO notified the Spanish Data Protection Agency, set up personaldata@mango.com and hotline 900 150 543, and said operations remain unaffected.
- Cybersecurity experts warned third-party suppliers are a growing weak spot and urged vigilance in the coming weeks as MANGO acted quickly to contain the breach, Joseph Rooke and Marijus Briedis said.
