Chad: Investigation after the death of the two black rhino females in Zakouma Park

Poachers killed the last two females of black rhinoceros in Zakouma National Park, in southeastern Chad. This is confirmed by the NGO African Parks, which co-managed space with the Chadian government. The carcasses of the animals were found on 25 and 26 March, just three months after the slaughter of three giraffes in the same park in January 2025.
