Ireland vs India 2026, 2nd T20I: Toss Result and Playing 11s for Today’s Match, Umpires List and Pitch Report
Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bowl as India seek to level the series after losing the opener by 34 runs.
On Sunday, India captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bowl first against Ireland in the second T20 International at the Civil Service Cricket Club in Belfast.
Following a 34-run defeat on Friday, India aims to level the two-match series after Ireland recorded their first-ever victory over the reigning T20 world champions in any format.
India handed debuts to Suryansh Shedge, a 23-year-old all-rounder from Mumbai, and Prince Yadav, a 30-year-old pacer from Delhi, while 15-year-old sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi remained sidelined.
Iyer cited weather conditions at the toss, saying, "It can pour any time, so we want to maximise the advantage of it," to justify the bowling-first decision.
Although Sooryavanshi missed this match, the 15-year-old could still debut in England's five-match series starting Wednesday, becoming the youngest player to feature in a top-tier men's T20.
