England Cricketer Carse Under Investigation After 'Nightclub Incident'
The ECB said it is investigating after video showed Brydon Carse being led away by police, and his England squad place remains under review.
On Sunday, the England and Wales Cricket Board launched an investigation after video appeared on social media showing fast bowler Brydon Carse being led away in handcuffs by four police officers outside a Derby nightclub.
Footage of the incident surfaced Saturday, barely 24 hours after England's restorative Test victory against Pakistan at Headingley, where Carse had been playing for Durham in the County Championship.
Although detained by police, Carse was not arrested, and the ECB is currently determining whether he remains in the squad for the second Test at Lord's beginning Thursday.
England's team faces repeated accusations of an unhealthy drinking culture, highlighted by recent suspensions of Test captain Ben Stokes and bowler Gus Atkinson for violating team curfews.
The Cricket Regulator will conduct a separate investigation following the ECB probe to determine if rules were breached, though Carse is still expected to join teammates at Lord's on Monday.
