Winter sports enthusiasts heading to the ski resorts in the French Alps should postpone their trip. The RN90, a major access road to the popular slopes, has been blocked since Saturday morning near Moûtiers by two huge boulders that have fallen down. Traffic chaos has been raging all day.
Two large boulders fell on a motorway in the French Alps on Saturday morning. Traffic on the N90 four-lane motorway came to a complete standstill just north of Moûtiers, about 65 kilometres northeast of Grenoble. A boulder hit a car, slightly injuring one person.
