Be aware and follow the rules at all road crossings
In 2016 the provincial government passed the Making Ontario’s Roads Safer Act. The Act brought in new rules at pedestrian crossovers and school crossings. Effective that date drivers (including cyclists) must stop and yield the whole roadway at: pedestrian crossovers; and, at school crossings where there is a crossing guard displaying a school crossing stop sign.
