Leumi will let customers buy, hold and sell bitcoin, ether and solana through its app using Galaxy’s institutional trading and custody platforms.

  • On Friday, Bank Leumi and Galaxy Digital Inc. announced a partnership allowing customers to buy, hold, and sell Bitcoin, Ether, and Solana through the Leumi Trade app beginning in early 2027.
  • Bank Leumi, Israel's leading financial institution founded more than 120 years ago, seeks to expand digital services by integrating secure, regulated cryptocurrency trading directly into its existing mobile banking platform for millions of customers.
  • The bank will utilize GalaxyOne Institutional for execution and Galaxy's Custody Infrastructure, formerly known as GK8, to manage digital assets within a dedicated, secured section of the Leumi Trade app.
  • This marks the first Israeli bank to offer direct digital asset trading, as digital assets are "gradually becoming an integral part" of the global financial system, said Maya Ravia, Head of Strategy at Bank Leumi.
  • Galaxy Israel CEO Lior Lamesh said the future of finance will run on "open, programmable rails," as the company expands infrastructure partnerships following similar deals with BNY and Morgan Stanley.
