In Adana, Çukurova University (ÇÜ) Faculty of Engineering, Department of Food Engineering, academician Prof. Dr. Işıl Var, examined the baklava varieties offered for sale before Eid al-Adha in a laboratory from a microbiological perspective. Working on samples taken from 20 businesses in the city, Prof. Dr. Işıl Var said that they encountered E. coli, a fecal-origin bacillus that can even cause death in the elderly and children, in 5 of them.
