France's President Emmanuel Macron wanted to ceremonially recognize a Palestinian state at the Uno headquarters in New York this week.
The French Head of State wanted to initiate a movement of cross-recognition in the days that come at a conference that he was to co-chair at the UN headquarters in New York. The timing was compromised, by the attacks on Iran but also by other obstacles "Whatever recent developments in the region, France remains determined" to recognize the Palestinian State. This was the message of Emmanuel Macron read by his Foreign Minister on Friday 13 June.
