- On October 1, 2025 the International League T20 held its inaugural player auction in Dubai, featuring nearly 300 players from more than 20 countries as six franchises finalized squads ahead of DP World ILT20 Season 4 starting December 2.
- To meet league mandates, franchises had to satisfy squad composition rules including a minimum of 11 Full Member and four UAE players, with base purses of USD 800,000 plus leftover from USD 1.2 million allocations and spending floors between USD 1.5 million and USD 2 million.
- Big-Money buys punctuated the auction, with Andre Fletcher of West Indies selling for $260,000 to MI Emirates and Junaid Siddique and Liam Dawson each fetching $170,000.
- Despite expectations, several marquee veterans went unsold, including Ravichandran Ashwin at his $120,000 base price, with all returning for a second-round auction.
- The auction underscores ILT20's effort to grow as an international, associate-friendly league, with Season 4 running December 2 to January 4 across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah featuring six teams and 34 matches.
