As many as 958 candidates qualify civil services examination 2025: UPSC.

Final merit list includes 958 candidates recommended for IAS, IFS, IPS, and Central Services with 348 provisional candidatures, based on exams from August 2025 and interviews through February 2026.

  • On Friday , the Union Public Service Commission announced the final Civil Services Examination 2025 results, recommending 958 candidates for IAS, IFS, IPS, and Group-A and Group-B services on upsc.gov.in.
  • Following written exams in August 2025, the Commission held Personality Tests between December 2025 and February 2026 and compiled the final merit list based on all stages.
  • The commission said the candidature of 348 recommended candidates is provisional, results of two candidates were withheld, and category-wise distribution includes General 317, EWS 104, OBC 306, and ST 73.
  • UPSC clarified final allocation and appointments will depend on vacancies reported by the Government, and appointments will be confirmed only after candidates fulfill eligibility and verification, with individual marks uploaded within 15 days.
  • Toppers Anuj Agnihotri, Rajeshwari Suve and Akansh Dhull secured AIRs 1–3 respectively, with at least 30 candidates from the Telugu States moving to training programmes before postings.
