- Following the first-half withdrawal, Mikel Arteta said `I think he had a clash, knee-to-knee and immediately he was uncomfortable. I just spoke to him and he is not positive about it. We will have to wait from the doctors but we have been very unlucky with that. we haven't had him since the start for one reason or another. The shoulder twice and then this injury. We have to wait and see the extent of the injury.`
- Arsenal will be without him for key fixtures including Fulham on October 18, Atletico Madrid on October 21, Crystal Palace on October 26, and Brighton on October 29.
- With Odegaard out, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will rely on Declan Rice and Eberechi Eze for creativity while rotating Ethan Nwaneri and Mikel Merino amid a busy fixture schedule.
