Arrivederci! Diocesan Pilgrims Head to Rome for Jubilee of Young People
ROME, ITALY, JUL 21 – The pilgrimage aims to prepare young Catholics spiritually and develop future leaders for World Youth Day Seoul 2027, with over 1,000 participants from Seoul attending the week-long event in Rome.
- On July 19, the Archdiocese of Seoul organized a send-off for over 1,000 young Catholics traveling to Rome for the Jubilee of Youth, running from July 28 to August 3.
- This initiative, called Project 1004, aims to spiritually prepare young people for the Jubilee and form future leaders for World Youth Day in Seoul.
- Pilgrims will travel in 18 sub-groups across Assisi, Milan and Turin, and walk through the Holy Doors of papal Basilicas in Rome.
- On July 31 at 10:00 AM, pilgrims will gather at Basilica of San Crisogono for Mass celebrated by Cardinal Andrew Yeom Soo-jung.
- Future planning by the Archdiocese highlights that the Jubilee of Youth, gathering over 100,000 young Catholics globally, prepares for the 2027 World Youth Day in Seoul.
