On Monday, the Agency for Revenue and Customs Control (ARCA) launched a new system of "Simple VAT", which allows for the speeding up of the presentation of affidavits of the Value Added Tax. It did so through General Resolution 5705/2025 published in the Official Gazette with the aim of "facilitating taxpayers and those responsible the fulfilment of their tax duties based on the optimization of the applications available for this purpose".
It consists of a simplified and assisted procedure for the determination and declaration of value added tax. From November, the system will be mandatory and replace forms such as F. 731, F. 810, F. 2082 and F. 2002.
