For no less than 83 years, a public primary school in Amstelveen bore the name of one of the greatest naval heroes in Dutch history. But that will soon be over. Primary school Michiel de Ruyter is looking for a new name. They are now looking for a name that reflects the ‘multicultural and inclusive vision of the school’.
