Air pollution: Four bus drivers verbalized in Coromandel

The Environment Police conducted an operation on Tuesday, April 1, in Coromandel, under the supervision of Inspector Vishwanaden Amasay. Four buses were pinned for excessive levels of pollution, exceeding the smoke threshold set at 50%. Of the vehicles verbalized, one RHT bus posted a rate of 62%, one UBS bus reached 98.5% and two other RHT buses recorded 68.4% and 84.4%. Drivers were fined Rs 2,000 each.
