17 Terrorists Killed in Lakki IBO, Says ISPR
The intelligence-based operation targeted militants linked to banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan and Mullah Nazir group, killing 17 and recovering weapons amid rising terror incidents, officials said.
- On Saturday , the Inter-Services Public Relations confirmed security forces neutralised Seventeen militants in Darsha Khel during an intelligence-based operation targeting deadly attacks.
- Acting on credible intelligence, Pakistan's security forces launched an operation targeting militants linked to attacks, described as an Indian-sponsored proxy network including the Mullah Nazir group and Fitna al Khawarij.
- Surrounding the hideout, Pakistan Army, Special Services Group, Counter-Terrorism Department and local police engaged militants with coordinated fire, while militants’ explosives detonated and weapons were recovered.
- Following the raid, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised troops' professionalism and said sanitisation teams are clearing remaining threats while security agencies stay on high alert.
- This raid follows a string of operations in recent weeks that neutralised 26 Khawarij and prompted Pakistan, China, Iran and Russia to urge Afghan authorities to act.
