In a joint operation with Mexican authorities, staff of the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), led by Omar García Harfuch, disbanded in the state of Mexico a criminal cell called Los Alfas, linked to the Jalisco Nueva Generación cartel (CJNG), to which are attributed “high-impact crimes such as homicide, kidnapping, extortion and robbery with violence, as well as the sale of narcotics.”
