The U.S. Navy plans to buy 15 Trump-class battleships as part of a 30-year naval construction plan released on May 11, 2026. The first ship, the USS Defiant (BBG-1), is expected to cost approximately $17.5 billion (approximately PLN 63 billion), and the entire series will make these vessels the most expensive warships ever built by the United States—more expensive even than the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R.
