Zoe Ball is keen on Strictly presenter job
- On Sunday, Zoe Ball, TV and radio presenter, said she would like to present Strictly Come Dancing, breaking her silence to the Sunday Times as the new series arrives later this year.
- Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly left at the end of the last series, creating two vacancies after Karen Carney won last year's Strictly series.
- Ball's Strictly history includes hosting the spin-off It Takes Two for 10 series between 2011 and 2020 and finishing third in 2005 with Ian Waite; she left her BBC Radio 2 slot in December last year.
- She has not been approached by the BBC about the role, Ball says, and she would prefer Rylan Clark or Vernon Kay as co-hosts if offered the job.
- Data-first: With many names thrown into the mix, Ball says whoever gets the role will face a tough act to follow while she takes time for family and opportunities.
