CITY of Harare (CoH) has announced that recent reports of bed bugs (tsikidzi) infestations spreading to suburbs such as Mabvuku, Glen View, and Budiriro are pending investigations, confirming that the problem is currently "confined to Mbare."

Bedbugs spread easily in rented places, such as hotel apartments and hotel rooms, through guest clothes and luggage. Although bedbugs do not carry disease, their stings have caused red and villainy on the skin.
