Victoria Zaniecki recorded a double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds to power 19th-seeded Metuchen to a 47-41 victory over 14th-seeded South Brunswick in the preliminary round of the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament in Monmouth Junction.Metuchen led 27-14 at halftime and extended its lead to 42-25 through three quarters. South Brunswick outscored Metuchen 16-5 in the fourth quarter but was unable to complete the comeback.
