Pandas arrive in China after crowds bid them farewell
Four giant pandas born and raised at the Adventure World theme park in Shirahama, Wakayama Prefecture, have arrived safely at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in China’s Sichuan Province, the park announced on Sunday.
Under the collective singing of Las Mañanitas, Xin Xin – the last giant panda born in Mexico and unique in Latin America – celebrated yesterday its 35th birthday surrounded by bamboo, apple pie and carrots, as well as the affection of more than 40,000 visitors who came to the Chapultepec Zoo.
