The Bernese Oberland region, located southwest of Switzerland, is one of the most beautiful in the country and one of the favorite destinations of hikers for its mountains, lakes and dream landscapes. One of its most outstanding peaks is the Schilthron, which has on its summit a famous rotating restaurant related to one of the most famous secret agents of cinema, James Bond.
The Guinness Book of Records has not yet recognized it, but the Swiss believe it is the new record holder.
A new cable car has opened in the Bernese Alps, taking visitors 775 meters up in just four minutes, with a gradient of about 58 degrees. Although the Guinness Book of Records has not yet recognized it, the novelty is said to be the steepest cable car in the world.
At 10.21am on Saturday, it has finally reversed. The sun has then stood at the lowest point of the year for the Northern Hemisphere -- and we are once again moving toward brighter times.
