Working mothers in Mexico, between labor barriers and overload of care tasks

The plenum of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) determined that both the mother and the father of a newborn with a disability are entitled to a three-month work leave to care for their baby, in addition to their statutory leave. Although the benefit will only apply in Baja California Sur, the decision sets a precedent for the highest court in the country.
