As of today, there will be no trains between Alkmaar and Den Helder for sixteen days. In the coming weeks, ProRail will be working on a number of projects at the same time. A start is being made at Heerhugowaard with a new underpass under the railway. A lot further north, Den Helder Zuid station is getting a makeover. NS uses buses.
