Body of Woman Found in River at Llangollen

- On Saturday, North Wales Police confirmed, `We can confirm that sadly a body of a female was recovered from the River Dee in Llangollen earlier today `, after a 999 call at 08:18 reported the discovery.
- Officers and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service's Water Rescue Team attended after a 999 call, prompting a major police and fire service operation with road closures in Llangollen town centre.
- The coroner has been informed, and enquiries are underway to formally identify the woman, North Wales Police said.
- Inspector Andy Kirkham of North Wales Police offered condolences to the woman’s family and thanked local businesses and visitors for their patience during Llangollen Food Festival disruptions.
- Police said the cause of death is unknown, but at this stage it is not thought to be suspicious, North Wales Police added.
