Woman dies after jumping off Interstate 90 bridge

The Erie County coroner confirmed one woman has died after she apparently jumped from the Interstate 90 bridge over Six Mile Creek. State police and firefighters from Harborcreek were called to I-90 eastbound around 6:45 Friday evening. The woman's body was recovered from the gorge below. According to coroner Lyell Cook, she was likely 40 to 50 years old, did not have ID and the incident was witnessed by another motorist.
