Before he died, Charlestown resident Joseph R. “Joe” Donahue was known for making everyone around him laugh and feel seen, according to his obituary. To most people he was more than a friend. He was family.

Willena Joyce Martin Donahue, 84, of Glasgow, Ky., passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025 at her residence. The Scottsville, Ky., native was a retired employee of Barren River State Park Lodge and member of Cedar Cross Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a daughter of the late Lloyd Thomas Martin and Rowena Lois Spencer Martin and wife of the late Lance Hendrix Donahue.
