The National Human Rights Commission of Korea has issued a recommendation stating that charging only female customers for towels and soap at public bathhouses constitutes gender discrimination. The Commission pointed out discrimination based on gender stereotypes, proposed alternatives such as management through a deposit system, and requested that relevant local governments strengthen administrative guidance.
